Meet Fighter Gwen from Some Odd Girl. Kristy at Some Odd Girl had a Digi Me contest where followers submitted stamp suggestions for new themes. I submitted a cancer themed mood board inspired by friends and family who have fought cancer and Fighter Gwen is the result. Both cards are cut with Silhouette files and colored with Prismacolor pencils on Echo Park For the Record 2 paper. The first is for my friend, Tama, who has just finished chemotherapy but still faces surgery and radiation for her cancer. She named her cancer, Madge, hence “Madge messed with the wrong girl”. On the back is the Stuart Scott quote, “You beat cancer by HOW you live, WHY you live, and in the manner in which you live.” The second is for a friend that has battled cancer twice and inspires me.
